ARTUR KOLBA Born in 1967 in Kozuchow. Graduated from The Institute of Fine Arts in Cieszyn (subsidiary of University of Silesia). Diploma in Painting obtained under Prof. Jerzy Wronski supervision in 1992. Engaged with oil painting. - My 'vivacious paintings' are a quest for conferring transcendental sensations, which are connected with flying and difficult to define at the same time. As a child I flew with my father, only to sit by a rudder of a glider all by myself when I was 15 years old. All that is beautiful in my life has its roots in flying, and so does art. Enchantment over beauty, harmony, peace, love, angel's touch, or even tangible presence of the Lord - all this is to be experienced in the sky. Anyone, who sees my paintings, can try to get higher - beyond everyday sorrows that bring us down. Everyone is looking for their own wings. |
